Overview: An application that allows people to easily come to a consensus of a meal
Problem
There is a frustration that my friends and I experience when we are trying to make plans together. We all live in different cities and different preferences. We find it difficult to find a place that is equidistant from all of us and meet all our dietary needs and other preferences. We usually end up scrolling on Google or Yelp for a while before we get fed up and give up or just default to the one place we’ve been to before. This is a common struggle that I looked to overcome.
Solution
The general idea is an app where people can fill out a form to indicate their preferences for what they want to eat or what they want to do that evening. The app will take everyone’s forms and generate some suggestions of places that meet everyone’s needs and preferences. This app takes all the hard work out of making plans. There's no longer a struggle of finding a restaurant that meets every ones needs that is also in a centralized location and making reservations.
Home Page
The map as the home page allow users to visualize where their friends are and then with elements laid on top of the background map with buttons and prompts to set the users up for tasks. The map with friends on them also allowed the user to see the friends near them, click on them and then invite them or add them to groups for convenience.
Results Page
As users fill out the preference form, the results page will populate accordingly with restaurant suggestions that meet everyone’s criteria. Each card has information about the restaurant and allows users to ‘favorite’ the restaurant. The user can also click on the restaurant to see more information about it.

The preference form is for users to fill out so the backend algorithm can gather data about people’s preferences to populate suggestions based off of everyone’s preferences. Users will fill out their name and location in the text fields, slide the bar over for miles willing to travel, use checkbox to indicate dietary restrictions and food preferences, and a selection for price preferences.
Restaurant Description page
When a user clicks on a restaurant on the results page, the application will open up a brand new page with more information about the restaurant including: hours of operation, exact location and map, website, contact information and social media.
